BroadbandVideo Launches New Personal Video Webcaster
ItsActive allows users to publish their own Streaming Video automatically
Denver, CO – January 19th, 2005 – BroadbandVideo, Colorado’s premier streaming
media services provider, announced today the availability of ItsActive.com, a
new service and website designed to allow consumers the ability to create
streaming video automatically.
The new service is targeted at consumers and businesses looking for an easy and
inexpensive way to add streaming video to a website, auction, classified ad,
home tour, dating site or any other website that allows them to post HTML. Once
you’ve captured a video file on your personal computer from a digital camera or
other source, you simply browse for the file using the free ItsActive software
and you receive back the streaming video that can be emailed or posted to a
website. ItsActive handles all the back-end processing, hosting and delivery
systems. A personal account on the site shows what videos you have available and
how many views each video receives.
“ItsActive is revolutionary in many ways, but primarily because it drives the
cost and ease of use of streaming video down to the average consumer,” explained
Jock Mirow, co-founder and streaming expert at BroadbandVideo. “Prior to the
ItsActive service, you had to literally drop off or send a tape to a provider
who had to encode and send back the links to the user. That whole process drove
the cost up so that a consumer could not afford it. ItsActive changes all that
with pricing starting at $5 for a 5 minute clip.”
The new service can also be completely private labeled for those wanting to
build entire websites based on the functionality. For more information and to
try out ItsActive for yourself, visit
